A few questions. Only Human Visits, Stats, CloudFlare

Hi,

I’ve been using Piwik for a few months and works great.

I have Piwik installed on a vps, and I have other server logs imported into the vps, and processed on the vps.

Here is my import command

python /home/######/public_html/misc/log-analytics/import_logs.py --url=http://piwik-url-com/ /usr/logs/access.log --idsite=#### --enable-http-redirects --exclude-path="/wp-login.php" --recorder-max-payload-size=2000

As long as I don’t use “-enable-bots” then the logs should ignore bot visits, correct?

I’m also comparing the numbers and it has become quite a task. Comparing Piwik, to WordPress stats, to Google Analyatics…most of the numbers are close, but I want to put more faith Piwiks numbers than anything esle.

Also…if someone is using CloudFlare…how does it effect those numbers since essentially all the visitors would be coming from the same IP’s?

Thanks to everyone that can answer my questions.

correct

Thank You for your answer.

I would still like some insight or shared throughts regarding Google Analyatics. Is there a way to know which one is closer? I import my stats and do not use the javascript code.

I have compared Google Analytics with Piwik and with server logs.

@byoussin,

Thank You. I have a clients site that was baffeling me when it came to numbers…and I had more faith in Piwiks numbers. I went through their GA, server logs, and other stats as you did, and Piwik made the most sense.

Thank You :slight_smile:
