For some reason, Piwik is REALLY slow for me. At best, its taking 500ms to respond… at worst, I’ve seen it take a good 5-10 seconds! Any suggestions? As you can see - from the waterfall graph attached, the rest of the files load super quick - so I’m a bit confused as to why Piwik is to much slower

Hi Andy,
The piwik.js takes a little while to download but it will be cached on subsequent requests.
the 1.7 second for piwik.php is the time it takes your piwik server to process the request and store it in database. we maintain a guide about speeding Piwik tracker here: How to configure Piwik for speed - Analytics Platform - Matomo
