G’day guys,
I’ve gotten a number of support requests about this recently and only just managed to get the actual error out of one of the users (a nightmare all of it’s own!).
Basically, it appears that Piwik is making a cookie which is exceeding the server’s LimitRequestFieldSize Apache directive, and thus throwing the following error:
Bad Request
Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.

My setup includes a huge number of sites (we’re tracking our member’s pages on a sub-URL basis, as per this post), and I’m wondering if that is what’s causing this issue - ie, the visitor hits a few of those sites, and the cookie information grows a little with each visit?
