It would be nice if this procedure from the FAQ below did not have to be implemented for each site, so that a Server URL footprint across all sites tracked in Piwik isn’t created.

I’m afraid it won’t be possible for me to use Piwik without this change since the procedure for removing the Server URL on hundreds of sites will be too tedious and time consuming.
If you have hundreds of sites then you can automate such procedure. there is no other way to get what you want without automation
How can I accomplish that? And what steps from the hide URL procedure in the FAQ needs to be done with all sites, just uploading the PHP file? I have a forum post here with more details about my issues. After following the procedure, Piwik is not tracking visits, so something is wrong that I haven’t figured out.
