Compare Google Analytics and Piwik Data

Hello all,

I’m working on a project where I’m comparing before/after statistics for sites, before a redesign and after a redesign.

Some of the sites I’m looking at didn’t have Piwk in the “before” status, many had Google Analytics for the “old” site and have Piwik for the new site.

For any given metric, how can I be sure that I’m comparing apples to apples when comparing the old GA data to the new Piwik data?

You have actions and visits on Piwik. Then you can configure your Goals (conversions).
You see Visits and page views can be compared but, you know, Piwik have in <3 your privacy and trusts “do not trust” clients rules, can’t say abt BigG stuff. So comparison is difficult to fit.
