Been using Piwik for a little while now and am really happy with it, trying to do something a bit different with it though and it’s not working for me.
I’ve got piwik running on analytics.mydomain.com but we’re finding a couple of our clients have content filters on their employees’ internet access which are meant to block tracking (e.g. google analytics) and they block any domain with analytics in the word.
We have agreements with them that they want the tracking so they can do reporting, but there’s too much red tape in trying to change the company-wide filters.
Instead I suggested we just point another domain at the same install, somethingelse.mydomain.com . Problem is, when I try to access that url, I’m getting a 301 redirect to analytics.mydomain.com
Is there some way I can stop the redirect and have one piwik install serve on multiple domains?
