In the config file I have set create_new_visit_when_website_referrer_changes to 1. I expected the number of visits to go up and match the ones reported by GA. However that is not the case. Is there anything else I have to do besides changing the value in the config file?
actions that contain different website referrer information from the visitor’s ongoing visit will be treated as the start of a new visit
Is the referrer information based on the domain or on the entire URL?
If a visitor is referred by https://site.com/URL-A and 10 minutes later is referred by https://site.com/URL-B would that count as a new visit? I have noticed that the referrer-information stored in the cookie does not change.
