Access denied out of the blue

HI, my Piwik has been working fine for years now…

now out of the blue, no idea why today I see

SQLSTATE[HY000] [1045] Access denied for user ‘xxx_xxx’@‘127.0.0.1’ (using password: YES)

any idea what this is caused by and esp. how I can amend it?

Again, no changes to system

Hi,

This message comes from your MySQL Server. Can you check if you are able to connect to it with the data in the config/config.ini.php?

This sounds like a server-side issue. e.g. Maybe user permission changed or your ISP switched your database settings.

Try logging into the database from the command line or Phpmyadmin as recommended by Findus23.

uuuuppsss… and again a lot of time has passed

I informed my admin about the issue with the SQL and - no idea what he did - it works again
